Meet the Coaches

COACH V
Hello, my name is Victoria Torres. I am currently a 5th grade Science teacher. I am a Sharyland Pioneer High School and Texas A&M Alumni. I was a cheerleader for 10+ years and continued on to be coach. My experience as a coach consists of 2+ years.

While in high school, I was cheer captain and was asked to be a UCA Staff Member. During this time I also traveled to London to perform in the New Years Day Parade.
Cheerleading has been a passion of mine for a very long time.
I attended many events and learned so much and am excited to share that with the team. Team bonding is something I cherish and make an importance when implementing team expectations and relations.
I hope to be able to continue giving back to my community by making sure our cheerleaders continue to volunteer, participate, and lead our peers and SISD.

When I am not teaching or fulfilling coaching duties, I spend time with my family, my dog, and train at the gym for body building competitions. I also am a personal trainer and all star coach outside of school. Being a coach and helping others is something I love to do.
As I go through the next few years, I hope to go back to school to receive a Masters degree in Counseling.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me and Goooooo Diamondbacks!

COACH VICKY

Hello, my name is Victoria Galvan. I am an Instructional Aide for O. Garza Elementary. I love my school and I love what I do! I am a Sharyland Advanced Academic Academy alumni. During my time at SA3, I also was a member of the dance team and have been dancing for a very long time.  This experience has given me the opportunity to serve as one of this year's cheer coach.
As a dancer I have learned the ins and outs of being on a team. I know firsthand what it takes to create a successful and hard-working team.  The experience of being on a team has been one of my greatest gifts. A team not only works hard but creates lifelong friends and lasting memories. Coaching is a passion of mine, and my ultimate goal is to be able to share this experience with my team.
During my free time I continue my studies at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. I study Kinesiology which allows me to expand my knowledge on proper fitness and health. I believe this will help me reach my fullest potential as a coach. I love spending time with friends, family, and traveling. I also enjoy keeping up with dancing. I love being able to prove why I can coach!
Thanks for getting to know me!
